Silesian University of Technology managed to obtain as many as three projects under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie RISE financing scheme (Research and Innovation Staff Exchange) in the Horizon 2020 programme.
The Horizon 2020 programme is Europe’s largest research and innovation funding programme for years 2014-2020. Grants are carried out in the best international consortia.
RISE projects focus on academic mobility. Scientists will cooperate with partners from the non-academic sector and with partners from third countries (outside Europe) in their chosen topics.

Granted projects:

  • BIOTRAFO – Raising knowledge and developing technology for the design and deployment of high-performance power transformers immersed in biodegradable fluids “BIOTRAFO” – Professor Jacek Smołka
  • WrightBroS Working in a Collaborative Factory of the Flight Simulators Branch of RISE – Professor Krzysztof Cyran
  • i-Weld Integration of advanced experiments, computation and data for Duplex Stainless Steel joining Innovation, PhD Eng. Zbigniew Brytan,

In the WrightBroS project, the Silesian University of Technology acts as the coordinator of the consortium.
