The British Embassy in Warsaw and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland organize the “UK-Polish Science Forum“, which will take place 13-14 September at the Marriot Hotel in Warsaw.
During the two-day event there will be numerous speeches, discussion panels, presentations, and workshops dedicated to Polish and British cooperation in the field of research, development, innovation, and higher education. The speakers will include representatives of both governments, key institutions and universities.
Dr Zygmunt Krasiński, Director of Polish NCP, will have a presentation “Polish-UK collaboration under Horizon 2020: statistics, themes, success stories and potential future areas of co-operation” and Katarzyna Walczyk-Matuszyk, Deputy Director of Polish NCP will run a workshop: “Polish and UK participation in Framework Programmes – Poland’s participation in European Research and Innovation Programmes. Barriers and opportunities”.
Participation in the Forum is a unique opportunity for Polish and British scientists, representatives of universities, research units and innovators to connect with each other and discuss ongoing challenges. The UK-Polish Science Forum will provide a platform to establish new forms, areas and methods of collaboration.
The Science Forum is the centrepiece of the UK-Polish Year of Entrepreneurship, Science and Innovation (YESI) in 2018. This initiative was established last December by Prime Ministers Theresa May and Mateusz Morawiecki to further boost links between Poland and the UK.
