Europe’s largest public-private innovation partnership focused on climate change, consisting of dynamic companies, the best academic institutions and the public sector.
Climate-KIC includes a grouping of six major regions covering western, eastern and southern Europe. One of them is Lower Silesia in Poland. Each region brings together a cluster of key innovation players – public agencies, large and small companies, university and research bodies – to develop new ideas and initiatives for climate change mitigation and adaptation.
Activity of Climate-KIC focuses on:
- implementation of innovative business practice, carry out investments aimed at research, education in interdisciplinary areas and measures to stimulate the dissemination and exploitation of the results, focusing on the implementation of the market;
- conducting advanced research in areas of major socio-economic importance for the EU and have a real potential for innovation,
- organization of training and education forming resource base for the Polish economy;
- dissemination of good practice in the management.
