Industry and small and medium-sized enterprises are important participants of the Horizon 2020 programme. Therefore, the National Contact Point for Research Programmes of the European Union (NCP in Poland), which is in the structure of the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research Polish Academy of Sciences (IPPT PAN), and the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers (ZPP) signed a cooperation agreement.
It assumes joint actions aimed at increasing the participation of Polish entrepreneurs in Horizon 2020 programme, as well as promoting the programme among companies. The agreement between the NCP and the ZPP was signed on January 8 2019 year by prof. Tadeusz Burczyński, director of IPPT PAN, dr Zygmunt Krasiński, director of the NCP in Poland and Marcin Nowacki, vice-president of the ZPP. The signing took place at the headquarters of the ZPP in Warsaw.
– We have been cooperating with entrepreneurs for a long time. Polish companies are actively involved in Horizon 2020. They are one third of all participants from our country. I believe that signing the agreement with the ZPP will contribute to the fact that more Polish companies will join the league of champions in Horizon 2020 – said director Kraisński during the signing of the agreement. He added that the NCP in Poland offers entrepreneurs free consultations as well as workshops on preparing applications. – We also encourage representatives of Polish business to join expert groups that have an impact on the shape of EU framework programmes – emphasized the director Krasiński.
